post 3

I grew up mostly around grandparents, great aunts, and uncles etc..... needless to say the people i grew up around were much older people. When i was growing up, i noticed that the women in my family tended to stay home and take care of the house and the kids, while the men went out to work alot of hours to support their family. Usually the only time where you see the women working was when the men were a bit older and mostly had medical problems to the point where they couldn't work anymore.

Since being and living on my own, my own personal feelings have changed because i believe that if a man and a woman decide to be together and raise a family, they should take care of that responsibility 50/50 in all aspects. It doesn't take one person to make a family, so it shouldn't be one sided when taking care of it.

  1. Great post! Do you think 50-50 relationships are becoming more common?

  2. I love what you said, i feel the same wat too. I use think that i wanted to be a stay at home mom until i started working and taking care of myself. I realized that i like my independence and within my family it would have to be 50-50 also. That's way i am with my Fiancee and two step daughters. Two people living together as partners have to take care of each other.
